Do any aftermarket "power ducts" come already molded and/or pre-drilled for the inlet air temperature sensor on older C5s? Or do you have to drill or cut a hole in all of them? For those who have drilled or cut such holes, any tips? Should you locate it in the stock sensor position? Or should it be relocated to a different position?
Similarly, for the vacuum hose just in front of the throttle body, do you have to poke a hole in the new coupler? Or is there a better way to handle this line? I would assume that sealing any such intake penetration with silicone goop would not be a bad idea either... correct?
I just drilled a little hole and poked her through. The silicon coupler is flexible so drilling a small hole will provide a good enough seal without adding sealer.
The stock bridge is not very well sealed, so I wouldn't worry about putting any goop on it. Yuo'll get a better seal with your new coupler (providing you don't drill too big a hole) than you have with the stock bridge.

Thanks for responding. May I ask... how and where did you cut the hole in the power duct? I have seen some nasty butcher jobs and would like this to look like a reasonably clean install.

I took an icepick for mine and eventually pushed it through; snug fit --I got one of the soft flexible power ducts too.
Is anyone with a '97 or '98 still using one of those "fuel recurve" tubes (bought or home-made) in lieu of sticking the fuel regulator vacuum line into the new coupler? Or has that gone out of favor?
