Apparently I've heard that there's a technical service bulletin on the clutch pressure plate. Does anyone have a copy of this and does anyone know whether the original GM or extended GM warranty covers its replacement? The Dealer is telling me that my extended GMPP warranty says its a wear and tear item... and its six labor hours to replace. Also, has anyone had experience with this? I tried to do a search in our forum archives cause I thought someone had posted something but could not find anything...
Dave and Fellow forum members--I have good news! The Service Manager at Clippinger Chevrolet (he's awesome!) talked to the folks at GMPP and they're going to cover the whole job. That means I'm getting a brand new clutch installed!
Oh yeah! Sorry, I was sooo excited that my extended GM warranty was going to cover this I forgot to say!
My clutch was pretty good overall but whenever I really got on the go pedal and shifted at high RPMs, the clutch would quite often stick to the floor as I shifted from 2nd to 3rd... and then not come up for like 20-30 seconds...
