Default Air And Heater Settings

1998 Corvette, 6 speed
Could use some help.
Can't change from defrost setting to air duck setting. Is there some kind of a circuit board that works the heater and air panel, or is there some kind of trick?

Default I had the same exact problem...

It was a bitch but I fixed it myself. In the rear of the manifold near the firewall there is a 1/8" vacuum line that can break very easily especially if you had engine work done. You have to loosen the fuel rails and the manifold, pull them forward about 6 inches and you can get to the line. It runs from a black valve type connection on the manifold to the passenger side and down. Also, check under your battery for acid corrosion. There are two 1/8" vacuum lines under there. If you search this forum, you will find alot of diagrams and good info. to do the job yourself. It took me about 4 hours total...
