Where did my torque go?
I'll try to make a long story short. Got an 04 A4 3:15. Bought Stingers. Got freaked out by everyone saying that the resonance was bad. Bought a Borla resonator from the XR-1 system. Bolted it up and was way to quiet and still alot of resonance on the highway. On the flip side great bottom end. I figured if it was going to resonate it sould at least sound good. Off with the resonator on with Magnaflow X pipe. Now heres the kicker resonance drops big time . Not an issue anymore but lost alot of bottom end. Big seat of the pants difference. Its just not there. Used to be able to just roll on the gas and it would pull . And if you hit it mash you back in the seat. Now if you roll on it it down shifts right away and i'm not talking mashing it I mean just gradual. I'f you nail it , it goes but not the same.
