Default Help A/C problem!

My vacuum actuated blower door is evidently not working. The selector for vent-defrost-etc. does nothing. How do I get to where I need to be to fix it?? I'm hoping it is just stuck?

Probably the vaccuum line that runs from the rear of the intake manifold to the canister thats under the pass side fender. 1st, did the intake manifold come off for any reason (oil press. switch change, z06 intake swap?) if not, then remove FR wheel, then remove the splash guard that covers the ECU. Poke around in there and check for breaks in the 5/32" line(s) that are under the battery. Could be eaten by acid. Pull the line that goes into the canister and feel for vaccuum. If no vaccum, its probably kinked/broken. Mine was broken INSIDE where the line goes into the harness. If this happens, run a new line (go to auto parts store, and buy 5/32" OD hard vaccum line) from intake manifold to that canister.

I've had a couple of problems with my A/C and this sounds like one of them. Mine started happening in the 2cnd year of ownership. At first it was only happening on the driver side but then it was happening on both sides. I took it to the dealer and they mentioned something about leaks in the hoses. it happened not long after the infamous Battery Acid leak and replacement so they thought some of thr acid got on the hoses.

Not more than 10K miles later my A/C Compressor went. I barely use the AC. My car is a vert and its a weekend car!!! GM quality at its best

Default That was it exactly

I pulled the fender and the line was broke as it went in the harness. Did you run the line outside of the harness? Where exactly does it go into the intake? Did you have to pull the intake? Thanks for all of your help!!

i believe it connects to the rear of manifold under the larger vac/smog? hose, i dont think you can actually see it but you can feel it, ive heard.

Yes, ran outside harness.

It is behind the intake manifold and the firewall. I have rather small hands and even I had to pull the intake manifold. If you have any remaining slack in the vacccuum line you can 'repair' that area. I could not because the break was so far inside.
