Default Help with Oil problem

The other day I pulled my intake manifold to replace a vacuum hose at the rear. When I did I found a lot of oil on the valley pan cover. This surprised me, but I cleaned it up and put everything back together vowing to do some research on it. Upon driving the car I now smell oil burning when sitting at stop lights! Last night when I pulled in the garage I found oil all over the garage floor!! I have never had a drop of anything show up under the car. I am going to pull the manifold again and poke around to try and find out what's going on but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your oil pressure sensor is right there on the driver side on top of the block in the rear. I'd check that for a leak first. Also noticed you have an ATI blower. Check carefully around the heads and valve covers for leaks. What kind of PCV mod do you have? If you're smelling burnt oil, it's probably leaking onto your headers. Sounds like a not-insignificant amount.

I have a problem with oil consumption and this write up helped with the oil gathering on the valley cover. Try a search on theC5 forum for a thread by benelliwang titled "Some RearEnd Tips and PCV Mods" ckeck out ths mods on PVC. Gary
