After detailing my engine (Yes, my old school *** used a hose...) a couple of weeks ago and driving to work I was unable to start my vehicle. I got a jump and drove home. Still unable to start vehicle. Pulled alternator, had tested, checked ok. Pulled battery, had tested, tested bad. Replaced battery. Drove to work today and the voltage is steadily dropping. Problem not solved.
So it's not the alternator, not the battery, all connections cleaned/checked. Any suggestions?
You must have a problem with something in the car staying on and draining the battery. This has been posted before but I can't remember what was causing it. In some cases it was the HVAC blower that would not shut off, other time it was the light in the glove box staying on (not controlled by auto power off feature).
