Default GM Spark Plugs

I have a 2000 LS1 with the stock AC plugs AC 41-952
but I have a GM parts book and its lists a different
plug the AC 41-974 for my year. What is the correct
AC plug number and is this a problem ?

Thanks >>>>> Mike

Checking the AC-Delco site, they do not list a 41-974 or a 41-952. They do list the 41-985 as the now, proper plug for C5. It's an Iridium plug with a .040" gap. They state not to deviate the plug gap.

Delco was using a horribly designed copper plug that had a platinum insert on the negative electrode which would fall off with great regularity. They have since gone with an iridium design and this a retro for all LS1/LS6 engines.

The correct part number is now 41-985.

I want to say just this year with the 2004 but it could of been some of the 2003 production.
