Default GM Clutch Fluid: Source for single quart?

Went looking for GM Clutch Fluid [GM #12345347] today. Lots of people want to sell me 6 or 12 quarts. Who stocks and sells single quarts? BTW, I'm assuming one quart will do for a 'turkey baster' flush.

Regards,
Garibaldi

Got a Valvoline Part number or descriptor? Does it have the special low moan antisqueal juice?

AFA the dealer is concerned, they didn't know the stuff existed... <<sigh>>

I got a pint of the GM fluid from my dealer a while back and it's lasted me through a few "turkey baster" flushes.

Is is safe to mix a synthetic and regular fluid together? I know you can get away with it with motor oil and tranny fluid, but I remember reading somewhere that you should completely flush the old fluid out when it comes to brakes and hydraulics.

There has been a lot of controversy concerning the stock GM clutch fluid. It tends to get HOT very easily. It tends to congeal and turn into a waxy substance. This becomes a problem when the clutch starts to stick and not return. It is a very costly change once it gets worse. Many people avoid this situation by swapping to a different fluid altogether. I have been running "racing Blue" a German brand of fluid that is sold in quarts. LAPD sells it.

I think you are refering to ATE Superblue brake fluid, great stuff, had to look all over the place to find it and i'm in Germany The guys in 1 store that did have it probably think i'm crazy because i bought every can the had

I did the turkey baster flush with ATE SL (just a little lower boiling point that Superblue and sold everywhere in Germany) and my clutch felt a million times better. I guess that it had gotten slowly worse over time and i never noticed it, but it really works well with the SL in it. There are some people that say don't use regular brake fluid in the clutch because it doesn't have an additive the clutch fluid has, but i've been doing the turkey baster flush every time i've gone to the track for the last 6 months and haven't had any problems.
