My drivers side door doesn't always unlock automatically. It's the same whether I use the key fob or just take the key out of the ignition after driving. Sometimes it unlocks, sometimes it doesn't. It has been doing this for about 2 years now but it was very seldom at first. Lately it has gotten much worse. So, which part do I need to replace and what is the part number? Is it a module, an actuator or what?

I have an '01 that requires several clicks of either the door unlock button or the key fob to unlock the doors. It's always a random number that unlocks either door. Interestingly, the door lock button works ALL the time, while the key fob still locks and unlocks at random. Actuators have been replaced to no avail. Reading through the service manual, I've noticed that one of the troubleshooting steps is to look for a ground short. That means hours of testing and probably days of the car being down in the garage. I decided to live with it for now. :-(
The door control module is likely the problem. Is a know problem with them. Had the driver door module replaced on the 99 under warr. They just seem to fail. It is something you can do yourself.
