Thanks for going through the trouble of recording all the info step by step. How long did it take you to do the swap?
Thanks
No problem. It's kinda hard to estimate how long it took. There were several hangups that took half a day (pilot bearing took a half day for example, alone). Trips to stores to get stuff (slave release tool for example). I also replaced the tranny, modified the shifter (added stops to it), installed a shift light, did a full suspension revamp, etc etc.. All in all I think it took me around...40-50 hours.
I don't actually know. I think it got killed in the move to the new board. It was a huge post (16,000+ characters) and maybe they deleted it on me? I have older posts on the board that are still available so it IS kinda weird.
If you need it in post format, go to z06vette.com and do a search for my name and clutch and you'll find it.
Scubanme: please email/post if you have any questions or comments to add. I wouldn't mind updating the guide.
I received the Word folder that Patches sent me and all looks good to me. But if I run into anything that I feel that might be worth metioning, I'll let you know. That is a very in dept install and it was well written and I think it belongs in the LS-1 "how to" hall of fame!
