Default Rear Pipe After Lgm Lt Pro Headers

I just received the LGM LT Pro headers. I think we are around 25 at this time.
I would like also to have the more HP for the rear part.
So far I removed the muffler and put straight pipe with two tips, same size as OEM.
Now I will have more flow coming from the engine with the full 3" pipes.
It looks to me stupide to reducce the diameter after the X pipe.
All exhaust I saw so far have an elbow or a simili muffler before to go to the rear of the car. (We already discuss that in a previous thread and I know now that this is due to the room for a spare wheel from GM original design). But why after market back pipe use the same design and no one go straight (just the elbow for the rear axles)?
I
what should give the max HP
WILL SEE WHAT THE POLL WILL RECOMMEND

straight 3 in pipes would give you maximum hp but depending on what you are building the car for it could be a head ache with sound...

If you are using it just for weekend racing the striaght pipes are fine...

Weekend driver, you might get a headache from the resonance you will get but it will be bearable...

daily driver... just go with the stock z06 pipes or magna flow becasue it will be way to loud with stright pipes and you will get tickets for you car being to loud....

What ever your decision i hope you enjoy... It is you r car dont listen to anyone else...

With the headers it may be louders but so far with 2"1/2 straight with just two tips under 3000RPM it is less than a harley and never been ticketed. may be the headers will be louder??

The headers will make the system much louder, especially without cats. I believe it has been shown before that there is little to no HP to be gained by going to 3" straight pipes. Plus the sound would be unbearable by most. Therefore most people just run a good cat-back.

I've modified mine to 3" all the back to the tips with Borla Mufflers. I picked up .17 and 1.5mph.

Lou G. mentioned to me a while back Borla has future plans to produce the Stinger with 3" diameter, as well as the current 2.5" diameter, to match up with the 3" diameter mid-pipes from the Pro LG LT Header System. Although, I have no complaints with my current exhaust system; Pro LG LT Off Road Header system & Borla Stinger (2.5" diam) w/Quad Tips.

I posted a thread awhile back. I cut the 2.5" ends off and tig/heli-arc welded flanges on and fabricated the rear section from U-bends. Pretty easy but time consuming.
