My car runs perfect, idles smooth, and shows no problems but my oil pressure gauge is pegged at 80. The DIC reads 130. It has been like this ever since I have had the car so I don't know if this is a problem. I am running Mobil1 5w-30 and a AC Delco filter. The engine oil is filled to the top notch on the dipstick but no further. Please let me know if this is o.k. because it seems a little odd.
on going post, common problem. do a search had five put in my car since febuary. part cost $30.00 dealer charged 2 hrs labor. and the rest were under warranty
Thanks for the heads up. Can you tell me what to search under. I searched this section under the word pressure and turned up nothing. Oil was too short of a word.

Mike , how is this last sensor working for you??? if its good... do you think it may have been the torque as I had suspected..or a careless tech fracturing the top of the sensor with a torque wrench and socket.

I have a tech tip on this issue in the C5 tech tips... under replace oil sensor. al;l though the tech tips are out of commision at the moment...maybe in a week or so when troy gets the data back from the collection company
Thanks Evil, glad to know it is just a sensor and nothing wrong with the Vette. I think once the tech tips come back up it will answer alot of questions I have. The site crashed shortly after I got my car.
