Default key fob stopped working?

My key fob worked yesterday, doesn't work anymore. I changed the battery and still nothing. I've never heard of a fob breaking without having gotten wet or being dropped or something.
Anyone have an idea why the remote would suddenly stop working? Can i just pick up a new one at the dealer or do I have to order them?
This is the 2nd problem I've had today, think I'm going to put it in the garage and cut my losses lol.

I just bought the car and it only came with one fob and one key. I'm waiting for the registration to come from the state in the mail so I can have another key made and get another fob for that one.
So for right now I'm stuck putting the key in the door, feels old school.

This happened to me at one point also. Get next to the car and hold down both the lock and unlock buttons for 5 seconds. The horn should honk, and I'm willing to bet the this may suddenly fix your problem. (key fob out of sync or something) If this doesn't fix this problem, I guess the fob may actually be broken...

Good luck!

Default Key FOB

The key FOB will need to be re-synced if you disconnect your battery or loose power because of a low battery.

Kspurr, thanks for the help mate. I did as you directed and it works fine now. I guess the battery died and I needed to resinc it with the new battery in the fob.
2 problems today fixed on this forum. You guys are helpfull to the extreme. I can't thank you enough.
