That web page is hosted by the corvette forum server that went down. Hopefully it'll be back up before the end of the week as Troy indicated in his update.

I do have a PowerPoint version of it but it doesn't contain all the text that the web page does. Email me at edbon@adelphia.net and I'll send it to you if you want it to get started.

There are also a couple of other nice tutorials on it. Hopefully, someone will weigh in with the url's here.

I had the same problem this weekend. The server was down so I could not get the directions off the Forum. Instead, I used the instructions for the B&M Short shifter http://www.2phast.com/Corvette/b&m.htm

Install process took approximately two hours. The toughest part was getting the T bracket off the stock shift ****. Once that came off it was a snap. I recommend stuffing work raggs around the shifter once you have the plate removed. It will prevent you from dropping bolts into the tranny tunnel.

It took me about 4 hours to do it following the instructions that come with the Hurst (3 hours to get that blasted demon key, the T-Nut) out. Aside from being afraid to reef on the T-Nut, there is nothing to it. Had I been equippped with the right tools (vice-grips for the demon key, or two small screwdrivers), the job would have been about 1 hour and 5 minutes to complete the job from start to finish.

I'll second the recommendation to stuff rags around the tunnel, I did not and had a real fun time fishing a bolt out of there.
