Need some advice..LS6 or Fast 90mm
Well, long story short 2 weeks ago I had another nitrous backfire. This time it blew the back of the intake off and cracked the top and bottom. So I either can...
Buy a new LS6 intake
or
Switch over to the Fast 90mm and NW 90mm TB
Motor Setup
Forged 346cid 12.25:1
TEA/GTP S2 heads
LG Pro Long tubes
~10.7 - 80s on motor
I am trying to decide if its worth dumping the extra money into the FAST setup....

I would stick with the LS6 intake or wait for the LS2. What grade of fuel are you running with your 12:25:1 compression motor ?

If youre still going to run the nitrous do you really want to blow a hole in a 1000 dollar intake or a 300 dollar one?

I'm all for getting an upgrade when replacement is necessary, just not sure as to what the chance/frequency of that happening is. If it happens once a year, I'd stick with the LS6. Like once or twice in 4 or 5 years, what the heck, get some extra hp!
I wonder if there is anyway to put a blow-off type valve that would prevent this?

The FAST has a built in provision for a burst plate. The others don't. Easier to replace a disc than a whole manifold.

Is that over and above a LS6 Intake and stock TB? Is your MAF stock?
