I have F1 Supercar tires (Z06 Size). They are excellent tires for the track (road course not drag). You can "smoke em up", but I would suggest cheaper tires if you're interested in smoking them. The Supercar's don't have as much rubber on them to begin with as say the GS-D3's or Michelin Pilot Sports (noet: the new PS2's dont come in Z06 sizes).
I just put on the Michelin Pilot Sports PS2... as you can see by checking out a performance comparison as provided by Tire Rack, you will see that the PS2 and F1 are very simular performers. I road raced them for the first time several days ago and I can't beleive the differance compared to my old run flats.
I did Z06 repo wheels...10.5 rears 295 x 35s, 9.5 fronts 275 x 35. 18" all around. The set up looks great and it is Very sticky.
Nitto 555 are mostly a straight line tire... the PS2 & F1 above are twist and turn tire with good straight line traction... but not as good straight lines as the 555s.
Another great tire is the Bridgestone Pole Position S03. I had a set. Much better grip on the race track and much lower price than the GY EMTs or F1s. Their treadwear is pretty fast though.
Now I've got the GY GS-D3s. Somebody told me the GS-D3s are a little unstable in hard cornering - something about tread squirm, because the narrow strips of tread are not as rigid as the large tread blocks on other ultra high performance tires. I can't comment on that myself, because I haven't had a chance yet to run them on the track.
Every one of the tires you're considering will be vastly superior to the EMTs on the track.
