Default lowered 2" & scraping x-pipe

I lowered my car 2'", and it scrape my x-pipe whenever I go over any bump in parking lots. Any idea to prevent the scrape? And I plan to install either LG or Kook header. Is it going to put the x-pipe even closer to the ground by installing one of the two headers? Or it is not going to affect the height of the x-pipe off the ground? Thanks.

i got the LG long tubes, and i lowered mine as far as i could go on stock bolts, i scraped once on a high speed bump, thats it, it scraped just behind the x pipe, and it pushed the intermediete pipes into the tranny, denting the pipes

Uh, let me see if I understand this... lowered cars scrape on bumps and the more they're lowered the more they scrape.

Well crappola, my stock C-5 scrapes.

So, I guess the best advice is as already stated--raise it up some, or... find a pool table on which to drive. There must be some around since so many here seem to lower their cars and poke fun of others, like mine, for being "off-road Vettes. But hey, it's driveable and that's the name of the game, at least for some.

All the best!

Headers and after market pipes typically hang lower than stock, if you have lowered the car 2"..., well, do the math.

I lowered my car on stock bolts about 1.5", and have headers and pipes (see sig for details). My only problem was scraping the front air dam often, so I trimed 1" off with a dremel and no more scraping.

I lowered my car a little over two inches....looks awesome.....haven't scrapted yet......( watch what you are doing ) when you lower a car this much you have to take a whole new approach on how to drive it, I drive mine hard, but I am careful on bumps and drive ways

Your post shoud be titled: "lowered 2 much & scraping x-pipe"

It's obvious what needs to be done. Raise the car.
