Probably just build up/glazing....a few hard stops should burn it off....like 60 to 0 on a back road

www.baer.com gives some great info on how to maintain your brake system. As far as noise goes, it can also be caused by getting the brakes wet. The pad dust becomes a paste, then hardens and can cause some noise. This usually will go away within a day or two of normal driving.

My left rear was doing the same thing so i called the service manager at the corvette dealer I bought it at. he told me to find a parking lot, drive in reverse at about 20 mph and apply the brakes pretty hard, I did this and the noise is gone.
