Default Replacing C5 front grill

I want to replace the front grills on my C5 (the fog light grills) with ones that have holes to let cool air in.

Can someone tell me how to replace the grills?
How do you get the things out?

Thanks.

From what I've heard, the front bumper cover must be removed first. A lot of work.

Drill some holes in the ones that are already there and buy some stock grills as a replacement if you want to go back. Cheaper and with a long enough drill bit the labor would be virtually zero until you decide to go back to stock. The holes may not be elliptical, but I am not sure if that improves airflow...

Do a search. I found a set of instructions that replaced the cold air intakes without removing the bumper. Had to raise the headlights and pull the black plastic cover off to reach in. I had one da#$% tie wrap that I couldn't reach until I pulled the radiator shroud and repositioned the radiator -NOT IN THE INSTRUCTIONS. My arms looked like I had gotten into it with an alley cat before I was done. Take the advise above - drill or cut the grills and put the Z06 wire screen over them.

I just did this sunday night, I put a new halltech stinger and grills. At first I freaked out on how to take off the old ones. But I looked at the aftermarket holes and figured it out. I took off the two inside bolts off by reaching from the front of the car under the hood (while open) and was able to take off the the two inside bolts (9 or 10mm head). There is also an electrical connection on bottom, just pull it out. Now to the tricky one, the third one. OK first just push in and down the plastic tunnel that cools off the brakes, it does just push in and down, dont worry I already did that for you, you cant hurt it. Now there is an electrical connection, pull it out. The third bolt is going up, so you can use a little rachet to get to it, feel it with your fingers and slide the ratchet to it. (lots of patience here). You are doing this through that little hole where the brake vent was. Now once loose, squeeze them and pull them out through where the air cleaner was sitting in the middle. Squeeze the new ones in put everything back, not to hard once I figured out how to get to that third bolt, any other questions e-mail me. GOOD LUCK
