Default How do I unplug MAF?

Might sound like a simple question but I have tryed to unplug the MAF and the plug won't budge on my '02.

Does the plug slip down around the receptical? Is there a catch inside holding it on? I was trying to remove it and I managed to unhook the tiny (looks like a gray wire loom) thing that sits on top of the 5 wires.
I thought it was holding the plug on. Now I have to snap that thing back on. Anyone have any pictures of what it looks like unplugged?
I don't want to damage the plug.

Thanks,

trebor

You're getting closer. The gray thing is probably the locking piece, which does have to come off. Then, take a little screwdriver and push in on a little clip on the top of the plug. It will then come out.

you do not have to take the retainer off if you simply take a small flat head and pry up the clip that is up under the black shield there is an opening on the passenger side. if you pry this up the whole plug will slip off nice and neat.

Thank you for all your input. The picture was great. I can see now that the gray piece in your fingers is a retainer that must hold the plug in place. I assume once that's out, the plug will slip out

thanks again,

quite correct. Those that insist on removing the gray piece.... once you have the connector unplugged, look it over and you'll discover that there is one tab... and one only keeping it together. The gray retainer does not need be removed.
