Wheel hop?
Hello everyone. I have a question regarding what I feel may be wheel hop in my car. I thought maybe you could help me diagnose what the cause is and how I can go about fixing it. To give you the particulars, I have a 98 C5 with an A4 tranny and the well-loved 2.73 gears. I only get wheel hop if I am at a stop and I go to make a left or right turn and punch it as I start off and make the turn. Now keep in mind I am not going WOT, I am probably only punching it at half throttle. I think something is way off in my suspension. I purchased the car recently, and it has always done this since I bought it. I want to get it fixed and I am inclined to think it may be bad shocks. What do you think may be causing it. I'd just be happy if the whole car just squealed its tires through the turn, but I just get nasty wheel hop. Thanks for the help and if you need some additional info, let me know.
