Can anyone help me with a diagnosis?
I have a vibration (Since new) '03 Vert A4 I think in the driveline/rear end.
I get it at all speeds, slipping the tranny into neutral dosn't make it any differrence.
I have had the wheels balanced twice on a Hunter Road force machine and all wheels are under 12 lbs of road force.
The convertible top kind of pulsates at all speeds, I get some vibration in the mirrors and I really feel it in the seats and the floor. I do not feel it in the steering wheel or transmission selector. I drove it in the rain yesterday (first time) and I can even hear it transmitting thru the tires to the pavement. The dealer doesn't know what it is...keeps telling me its the run flat tires. I'm not buying that answer. Any ideas???

Take it to a different dealer for a second opinion, and don't tell them you've already been to another. Sounds to me like its a driveshaft problem. If the wheel hub is bent in the rear, you can balance the wheels all you want, but its still out of balance once you torque it to a bent hub. Good luck. I'm interested to know what it ends up being.
