Have any of you had all 3 types,(c-5 stock,z06,Hotchkis) so that you can make an informed statement on the quality of ride they give?
I have a stock c-5 and was thinking about picking up a set of z06 bars (ebay OEM brand new 150 including shipping), and then I gotto thinking if I am going to be "upgrading" should I just go all the way and do the Hotchkis? I have read that when yo go from a c-5 sway to a z06 sway, that while the car corners better, it also tends to make BUMPS feel harsher? Is it far to assume that the Hotchkis would do this EVEN MORE?
I have a stainless steel tunnel cover on order which, I hope will assist with cornering.
I have the bilstein sport shocks and Z06 sways and springs. Way better handling (better than my zr-1 ) and is a little harsher, but still nice and comfy on the freeway. With so much going on ebay, it is a good upgrade IMHO. Go drive a Z51 C4 then go drive a C5 with Z51. Totally different ride which I was surprised at how mushy the C5 is with that option. Front spring is evil to install. ...but as Aaron Scott says at SGC, "it it were easy, everyone would be doing it"
Funny, so is mine. I have to make many sales calls in mine. I have just learned to be somewhat careful and go sideways like the lowriders do. It's funny. I have stopped traffic a couple of times! lol.
..but still the handling will be much improved if you change out your susp.
