Hey Guys, I want to remove the front nose cone facia panel from my vet for painting off the car. Could anyone tell me briefly what to undo
and in the correct order of things just to make this job a little more straightforward. Info from someone who has already done this would be real helpful. Many Thanks. Ken
The only person(s) off the top of my head I can think of my head are C5Stockswap and Joecoool.......Steve has done everything with his car and Phil has a Tigershark front end.....I really don't think its a big deal...unplug some lights and take out some bolts..but WTF do I know..
It really is easy and straight forward.
There are bolts underneith near the air dam and accross the top rear fasica.
Remove the squarish underneight black plastic panel.
Disconnect wiring for side and fog lights.
Here's the trick. At the front of the fender ...it bolts to the facia with maybe 10mm nuts. Use a flex head quarter dive and long extension.
Once the nuts are loose and before final removal, tape the area of the fender (exterior) near these nuts and studs to avouid the studs scratching the paint.
That's just from mememory...it really is easy and straight forward.
Watch you bumber to fender alignment on re-assembly.
Many Thanks Pewter99 for advice and Kenny94945 for technical info.
Thats exactly what I needed to know. Knew I could count on you guys for help. Thanks again. Ken
