Transmission Problems
For some reason my car under full throttle about 30% of the time will not shift into 5th gear. Under normal throttle it will not go into 5th gear about 5% of the time. When it will not go into gear if I put it into 4th and go back to 5th it is usually O.K. It also seems difficult to shift quickly into 3rd and 4th. This 3rd and 4th gear shifting problem only happens under full throttle. Any suggestions,Buzz

When was the last time you changed fluids in the tranny? A high quality synthetic like Amsoil or Redline might help hide the problem for a while. Being able to bump a gear before shifting into the troublesome gear is an indication of synchro problems. Try the new fluids, and start saving for a new/rebuilt tranny! Good luck!
