I put in the Stinger today in my 01 MN6. It seems to be running fine with no errors (Hurray!).
Two things:
1. There is a hole in the plastic pieve by the throttle body. I do not have a hole in my original one, but there looks like there is a place for a hole. Is the hole suppose to be there or should I tape it close?
2. I noticed at the MAF the connection was not perfect because there was a tab that slide into the old plastic housing. The Halltech Plastic piece did not have a spot for the tab so I had to somehwat put it all together, but I thought the two pieces (the plastic and the MAF) would lock together better...
Of course I could have gotten the wrong plastic piece which I guess would make sense.
Sounds like you have the 97-00 version of the air bridge. Is the hole on the drivers side of the air bridge just a few inches down from the tb? The early C5s have a sensor that goes in that hole.
Definitely cover that hole if you intend to drive it in the meantime. Any leaks or holes between the MAF sensor and throttle body can cause lean conditions and codes.
