I found little droplets of mercury in my trunk area and have no idea how it got there. I keep nothing in the trunk area so I'm certain it did not come from me.
Anybody ever seen something like this. Where could this be coming from?
Corvette_fever you should check out those links. They recommend that you pull any contaminated carpet out and throw it away!
Wow, I had no idea mercury vapors were so bad. I have a broken motorcycle carb stick (carb synchronizing tool) in a closet that is full of mercury. I didn't know the vapors could get you. I guess I better get rid of it.
They used to let us play with mercury in elementary school. I remember seeing kids with tiny ***** of mercury on their hands after leaving science class.
I was using my carb stick and blipped the throttle and pulled some in the carbs, like a ***-ho-- , I put my finger over the hole and got mercury all over my finger .. I guess I will die someday...

It's not that simple... It's way worse. The mercury will cloud your judgement and you will probably go out and buy a 5 year old dodge neon.
I would guess the mercury came from your trunk light switch. I can't verify it since my FRC does not have a trunk light.
If your car is under warranty let gm handle it. Mercury is some bad stuff.
Just had this topic on the News tonight. Trunk and rear hatches have mercury switches (never really thought about that). Apparently this leakage is happening in other cars.
