My directionals are acting up. When they are not working I dont hear the relay clicking and the lights dont flash. If I press the hazard button all four lights flash. If I leave the hazard lights on and then turn the directional on and then turn the hazard off the directionals will work for awhile, evetually they will stop working. Do you think it is the relay, or a bad bulb. If it is the relay is it behind the hazard switch. Thanks Andy
hey i'm having a similar problem....sorta. my left turn signal doesn't work, but it isn't the bulb or even the the socket, i accually cut the whole socket out, tested it and found that both filiments in the bulb worked fine, then as i wired it back up i found that the ground was fine, and so was the parking light lead, but the blue wire was dead and that lead me to believe it was the turn signal wire, and it wasn't getting power for some reason, so now i'm basically gonna have to order a GM service manual so i can get a wiring schematic. As for you it sounds like your switch is defective if your dash lights don't come on all the time, i think the relay for the hazards is the the passenger floor fuse box, your owners manual will tell you exactly where it is. hope i was of some help.

i've experienced this problem with my car and others on the forum have had a similar experience. it seems that the problem stems from a relay or switch that's located behind the 4 way flasher. the dash has to be removed to fix the problem. $300 estimate for fix from the dealership. good luck.

Had the same problem and had the dealer fix it under warranty.....
I believe it was a bad relay switch causing the directionals and hazards to not work.....
Fairly common problem, and it's likely the switching relay. The relay is located immediately behind the button you push on the center of your dash to turn on your emergency flashers. The part is about $35, and you can replace it yourself in 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on your level of comfort in taking out interior parts.
I did a how-to on this awhile ago. I'll go look for it and see if it's still around.
