C6 Wheels/Tires on C5

C6 Wheels/Tires on C5
I am trying to find their would be any problems in using the stock 275/40/18 tire from the rear of the C5 with the 18 inch wheel of the C6 to put on the front of my C5. If so, what tire size would be recommended for the rear 19 inch wheel to maintain the same tire height? Trying to save some money on the wheel and tire swap for my C5. Any help would be appreciated.

There are already a couple of other threads on this topic here. The stock C6 sizes are almost exactly the same sizes as the C5. The only question still remaining is whether or not the wheel offset is the same. Anyone who is interested in this should spend a few minutes with an aftermarket wheel manufacturer to find the answer. They should know if the offset is the same or not.
