Default Dyno'd the Ping at ANDY's

Well I finally got a dyno tune!!!! As usual I cannot say enough good things about A&A Corvettes. This is not one of those 500 RWHP stories. But I am confident that I got a GREAT tune with 326RWHP and 343 RWTQ from my bolt on mods....considering its a A4 with 3.42 gears.

And there is no more ping/knock!!!!!

Never can seem to get just one mod when I visit Andy so I also got the Hodgkis sway bars...now that feels NICE

PS: There is no such thing as a partial tune.........

Congrats on the new tune!! My car was the first to break in Andy's dyno... I am glad to see that you got some good use out of it too.

Got to put a few miles on it today. Its great not to worry about any ping/knock no matter how I drive it. I notice the even and continuous pull thru all gears and RPM. And man that high RWTQ number is for real.....along with the shift time/pressure changes I can't keep my rear end hooked up in the 1st to 2nd shift. Need new wheels/rubber.

And those Hochkis Sways are unreal........watch out next SCMR. I can corner like fukcing BatMan now!!!!

Nice numbers, I hear Andy is the best. A question though, I thought that hosepower and torque were suppose to cross at 5200 rpm?

Well I hope someone can answer that question becuase I really don't have a clue

Spoke to Andy today about this question of the HP/Torque lines crossing. Hopefully he will see this post and reply.

Update

I am getting better gas milage after the tune...1-1.5 better...same crazy driving habits.

So I figure with the money I am saving on gas it should pay for the tune after say.....50,000 more miles!

Glade everything worked out for you. I was there Saturday as well and can say Andy spent a great deal of time making sure Howard's car was perfect.

Then he started on mine and did the same…

Note that the left and right scales are not equal. If you shifted them around to be equal, the lines would cross at 5200 rpm.

I went out and looked at the graph. I just forgot to push the "Forced scaling" button. THe torque and HP are on different scales. They do cross at 5200 under proper scaling. The numbers are correct, though.
