heads for 1997 ls1?
I'm interested in heads and a cam, I would like good quality parts, not too radical and not to expensive, any advice will be appreciated. What about a used set of ls1 or ls6 heads and have them ported? Maybe a ls6 cam shaft?

If you are not going to a radical cam I would not go to the expense of buying and porting LS6 heads. A nice set of ported 5.3 heads would be nice for your application. For a cam I would go for the tried and true TR224. It gives excellent power and very good street manners. The LS6 cam is decent but the TR224 and many other after market cams will give you better results.
