Just wanted to say thanks to Phil at DTE for staying open late so I could drop of my Vette tonight
I got to meet Phil and he was able to show me around his excellent shop Even though he was there late he took an hour out of his time to show me around and talk shop with me. He would have spent even longer with me, but my wife was calling to get me to take her to dinner He was also kind enough to show me a new piece that they are developing for their already tough as nails differetials. I can not wait to pick my car up tomorrow with a new Stage II diff with 3.42 gears. So far this has been high quality experience from what appears to be a high quality shop with a very high quality owner
Phil stayed open till 9.30 dynoing my car, then washed it. Just so I could have the car so I could get pulled over later that nite...at least it was a warning. Phil is a great guy,,,

That has got to be a bad case of Murphy's Law. Glad it was only a warning. Was it a State Trooper or Sheriff
It a real funny story,, yes, it was a warning for 105 mph,,,,passing a car. When I left DTE, I told the guys I would be feather footin the car all the way home. Of course, That lasted for about 30 feet. The DTE bunch had their own idea, they thought I would be nailed before I got out home, guess what, they were right. The officer was very nice, very polite and very forgiving...actually said he always wanted a vette and I have a kickass car. I was clocked at 105 then again at 75 while I passed a car. I did slow down only sped while passing. If I have not admitted what i did, I would have hanged for it. It was late at nite, lightening and thundering and I wanted to get home.
