Default Long Tube Header Question

If I installed a set of Kooks Long Tube headers, can I still use the stock intermitent exhaust pipe? If so, what type of mods will I need to make to it? Does anyone have pics or procedures from this type of setup?

I suppose you could have a custom downstream setup fabbed up if you wanted. Here are a few pics from an install I helped a buddy with a while back.

Patches:
I am planning to install headers on my '04 Z by year end. I am going through the usual analysis (which ones, who to install, expectations, etc.). Do you have these on your car or another brand? I am really leaning toward the LG's and am wanting to find someone locally so that I can see and hear them before making the plunge.

I have FLP's but there are a lot of local guys running almost every system sold here including LG's (Borlas and original custom), Stainless Works, Kooks - any brand you're probably considering. Kooks and LG's seem to be the most popular around here. The Peach State Posse group has frequent gatherings in this area where you can sample a variety of setups. Check on the site for upcoming mod days or gatherings.

I just added Dynatech's and I really like them. Install was very straight forward.

I'm down in Fayetteville. What are you guys going to be working on? The mod bug has hit me over the past eight months and I see no end in sight... Would love to meet some of the local people. I'll check back into PSP.
