Help on Battery Installation!
Could someone explain to me the process I need to go through in removing and installing a battery to prevent from losing all of my radio and clock settings, and memory seat settings? or is there anything to do? Does all of this go hay wire when you take out the battery?

I have disconected mine several times and never lost a thing. You do need to know the code if you have the anti theft device turned on in your radio. All you need to do after you restore the battery is to run through the radio unlock procedures.

There's a 9V cigarette lighter plug-in that will keep the codes while you replace the battery. It's been reported on previous threads. Maybe someone on the forum can tell you where to buy one.

I installed a new Red top the other day and all I did was I hooked my 10 Amp Charger to the hot wire on the alt. I didn't have to reset anything and I have not had any kind of electrical problems in the past 2 weeks since the battery change.
