What kind of tire are you using to hook up at the track? My street tire
Kuhmo Ecsta MX's are just useless in 1st and even sometimes in 2nd
gear roll ons. They break loose so badly on the 1st to 2nd gear shift
that the car just gets sideways.

You need ET Streets with that converter and the kind of power you are putting to the ground. You might be able to get away with BFG DRs but you will hook more consistently with ET Streets.

ET Streets are bias tires, if you run a radial tire on the front of your car you will get wobbly at the top end. You deed to run a bias tire on the front to cure this problem.

I kind of thought so. But am a bit nervous about breaking parts with ET Streets. Thought about trying the BFG 315/35/17 Comp T/A drag radial on a ZR1 17X11 wheel. If i can get 1.7x 60' times I'll be happy with that. I am kind of wishing I would have gone with a Yank SY3500 that doesn't hit so hard. The car is a real handful at more than 1/2 throttle at anything below 50MPH.

I have the SY3500 and 3.73s. On the 315 BFG DRs I pulled a 1.70 60 last week. This was my first time out on these DRs and since my cam install. My trans is about to go, and when it does I am going to the SS that you have. You talking about how hard it hits makes me want to get the trans and verter now. But low on vet funds right now...crap

OK I had the SS3600 and use BFG Drag Radials (295/35/18) on ZO6 Chromies. Now I have an SS4000 with the same tires. These are the tires that are always on my car and they hook fine.

I got a 1.58 60' with these tires , but they do NOT LAST LONG!!!

IThis is a 3rd car so I don't care as I don't put too many miles on it each year. Nittos are better if you drive all the time, but won't Hook as well. I actually miss some of the spin at times

I have had the Yank SYE 3600 and nitto's and got a best og 1.61 60' but I could not repeat this often.

I have had the Yank SYE 3600 and ET streets for 2 years and lots of passes with no rear end damage. I can pull 1.51-1.56 over and over.

I had the SY 3500 before and sent it back. It was to loose up top, I gained 2/10's when I replaced it.

Good Luck

Thanks for all the info guys. I think I'll try the BFG Drag Radials for a while but I think the CCW Drag Package is in my future.
