Default Low Battery=Memory Function Loss??

5 yr old battery went dead a month ago. Charged up and starts fine and no problems every day. Except every time I shut off the engine the seat, strg wheel position, etc., memory is lost. Anyone with similar problem that replacing the battery cured? FOB will not unlock door either (replaced it's batt & retrained with no luck).
Thanks,
Fred K.

I have had some of the same problems. The fix was (believe it or not) a new battery. It seems that there has to be enough "residual" power to maintain memory. Even though it starts just fine. Installed a NEW battery, and have had no problems since.

Your first clue was when the battery went dead last month. You've been fortunate that the battery lasted five years. And yes a
low car battery will prevent you from programming your remotes and tire pressure sensors.
