I'll be impressed if someone knows the answer to this... For those of you with twilight sentinel, you know that you can go through the options and turn it on/off on the display under the gauges.
After disconnecting the wiring harnesses to disable my F45, my twilight sentinel option disappeared and my headlights are forever on twilight sentinel on mode--the on/off option to turn it off has disappeared. Everyone that I've asked says that the wiring harnesses for the F45 have nothing to do with the twilight sentinel and I haven't plugged the harness together again to check cause I don't have a Tech II to get rid of the F45 if I wanted to check... The Dealer couldn't even figure out where the option for the twilight sentinel went... I'll see if the Dealer will let me play with the wiring harnesses the next time I go in... In the meanwhile, any ideas?
Did you have the F45 removed by the dealer with the TechII? Let me know and I'll probably be able to tell you what to do right away!
There is one very common mistake made when reprogramming with the TechII to get rid of the F45 option that will force the twilight to be on all of the time.
They may have just hit the wrong option then. Have them try it again, but say NO to the "Z49"(?) option. It is the first one that pops up (I can't remember what code it is exactly, but it is all by itself). It asks if the car is equipped with "Z49" (or something) and asks "YES" or "NO". Just hit "NO", then continue with the regular programming in the BCM. I've seen it happen before and even done it myself once. It is a Canadian option (they always have twilight sentinal no matter what I believe).
That should be it. Very easy fix.
