I don't believe my air is as cold as it should be from the AC on my 01 C-5. Before I take it to shop, I'm going to add a little refrigerant / oil to the system to see if that helps. Question: To make sure I cover my a--, Is the low pressure service port the one closest to the radiator?
Thanks in advance
FYI, found out from local dealer the low presssure port is the one nearest the firewall. Added refrigerant / oil - - - now blowing cold.

Just wondering why you would add oil. I hope you have gauges. You should have about 230 PSI on the high side and somewhere around 28 to 32 on the suction side with the engine about 1000 rpm. Granted these # can vary a bit on wear, etc (variations exclusive for air temp).
If you are getting 35 degree drop from outside air temp to register on the dash I would consider ok.
I would reco.. you get gauges and properly verify the pressure prior to adding any freon/oil.
