I bought a Hurst Short Throw and was wondering which springs you all used. Also, can you post some pics and/or links of your shift *****. I'm going with the vette essentials interior and I'm undecided whether or not to use their two tone OEM shift **** or go with another... Thanks
CUL - I am using the large-diameter, weakest springs only. I've had my shifter in for about four months.
I am thinking about going up one level now that I've gotten used to the weakest springs. I missed a 2nd-3rd shift at the dragstrip last Saturdayon one pass, I'm hoping the stronger springs will help with the self-centering for the 2-3 shift.
I thought you could not use the stock shift **** with the Hurst shifter. I thought the threads were diifferent?
As a suggestion, I just bought a Voodoo shift **** - no affiliation, I just bought one, I used to have one for my Turbo Mazda Miata and loved it!!! (see link below)

The factory shifter is rubber-isolated from the drivetrain. Once you install the Hurst with a solid ****, you're going to notice an immediate and possibly annoying increase in driveline noise in the cabin. The driveline sounds are introduced, the engine sounds are sharper, etc.
Oh, another thing - HEAT.
On extended drives, the driveline heat migrates up the shifter shaft. The shaft and the locknut get warm or even hot, so watch out.
