Red Top, Yellow Top Vs Oem?

Whats the best battery? I'm trying to get some input on A battery for my car, its stored during the winter months so I don't think I need to spend the extra cash on the yellow top but the red top sure looks cool. My oem battery terminal broke off and leaked acid all over the tray and down the drain . Did anyone else have this problem?

Plenty of others have had this problem..(not sure about the post breaking off) but leaking acid into the area below the batt. You NEED to get in there and neutralize and wash out that area before there is big damage to the wires and associated systems down there which also is where the PCM resides! Yellow top is the deep cycle version optima has and the red top is for normal auto use. Both types are used with great success by a lot of forum members here....me, Red top.
