Default Hardened Output Shafts

Will the output shaft work on either the driver and passenger side?

Is there a place where you can buy a hardened passenger side shaft?

Why don't we heat treat the original shafts instead of changing them for new ones? We need a metalurgest on this. Done all the time in industry. Heat it in an oven and plunge it in oil. Bet it would work if you could engineer the process.

Depends on what alloy the original shafts are. Some metals are heat treatable and some are not. If someone knows the alloy of the part I can look it up and see if it would work.
