Steering wheel shake?
I am getting steering wheel shake from 65MPH up an it seems to be the worst from 70-110MPH. I know that the guy I got the wheels and tires from had them balanced correctly and did not have any issues with them. What could it be in my driveline or steering mechanism or other parts of the car that is causing this?
I feel the steering wheel shaking and can observe the sunvisors vibating, but do not notice the rear view or side mirrors vibrating.
I just need some direction before I go to the dealership and spend an assload of $$$ for them to try this and try that before telling me that they really dont know? LOL

I just picked up a similiar vibration and can't figure what to attribute it to, other than front tire imbalance. What tires are you running? Mine are Firehawk EP's. I'm figuring on going to Discount Tire and having them rebalanced.
You need to look at the wear balance on the tires. Acceptable is under 25%. If you flat spot a tire that will cause it to go over 30%. I have a similar vibration due to my wear balance being close to 25% on one of my front tires.
If you put on new wheels..............and you had stock before and never re-did your brakes...............you need to remove those damn retaining clips holding the rotor on. The stock wheels have cut-outs for those and most aftermarket wheels do not. Those clips serve no purpose other than holding the rotor on during the assembly line.....
Go have the balance checked. Stick on weight will sometime come off. Make sure the weight isn't knocked off when re-installing the wheel on the car and be sure the weight isn't rubbing the brake caliper.

I just switched back to stock sized EMT tires after having Iforged 19/20 setup on. I have replaced my rotors with Brembo sport slotted and drilled rotors, but that was quite awhile and three sets of wheels and tires ago

Have Sumitoma EMTs. Took it to the tire dealer and he said to run 30lbs max. and monitor the pressures closely. Was running 32. Been running 30 and the problem has cleared up.
