The body control module is under the front of the passenger floor board. It's responsible for the retained accessory power modes that happen when the key is in ACC. If it were hosed, you'd see symptoms like you see.

If the body control module is still good, there could be another module on the OBDII serial data bus that could be disrupting communications. In this case, the car still would not start because the BCM and PCM would not be able to exchange the VTD passwords. I'll bet if you hit the lock button on the driver door, the driver door will lock, but the passenger door will not. From the keyless remote, neither door should respond. Also, when you start the car, the starter probably turns, but then it dies immediately. Does this match what you see?

Good luck!
-Michael

Oh, it's good to not have power on wet circuits. The circuits tend to corrode and damage themselves very quickly. Drying it is a good idea.

the door locks work from inside and the remote, but the horn doesent sound and the the trunk will not open from inside or the remote. everything else is the same except the car wont turn over at all. does that mean i need a new module? and if so where can i find one without going through dealer? thanks

I think you need to reprogram. Go to page 2-98 (or there abouts) in the owner's manual for directions. Good luck.
