please help. radio is in lock mode????
I own a 2001 corvette coupe, i disconnected the battery and when i reconnected it the radio went to lock mode and I don't have any code. I went to the dealer to get it unlocked, they said they could do it and it will only take 1 minute but they wanted $75 dollars. i couldn't believe it $75 dollars to push a couple of buttons on the radio, it is just ridiculous, talk about getting ripped off. So i refused to pay it, so here I am is there anyone that know what i have to do to get the radio off lock mode? any help will be appreciated?

Did you get it unlocked? If not I can give you the info, but you have to have the 3 digit code that was assigned by the original owner. If you have the owners manual, they probably wrote it down inside.

Did you try recalibrating the key/remote. I've disconnected my battery twice when I've been away. Both times my cd locked and I got it working again by pushing the lock and unlock buttons on the remote at the same time and holding for 7 seconds. I've had to do it more than once the second time I came home. From now on I'm going to use a battery maintainer.
