Default Dr "s for track

I'm looking for a set with rims that I can drive to & from the track with . What rims can I use that won't cost a small fortune. I have the Z06 wheels on the car as of now.. I do have a set of Nitto Dr's from my Z28 in 245/50 16" size but I think they will not be adaptable. Any thoughts?

You can use the 16 inch rims but you will have to do some grinding to the rear suspension. Most guys buy 17 inch DRs and use extra front C5 wheels to mount them (no grinding required). 18 inch DRs are also available and can be mounted on the rear 18 inch C5 rims.

Grinding dosn't sound like something I would want to do, especially to the frame. I will start searching for a set of rims to adapt for the dr's. Maybe I could trade out my 16" nittos for some 17"s

There really isn't that much grinding required, and it isn't in an area that would cause any problems. I had to had to have a bit of grinding done to mount the rear wheels of my 16 inch CCW Drag Setup and I haven't had any problems.

Where is the grinding required And if so would the Z28 16" rims work for this setup?

It all depends what your consider a small fortune. You can buy
Z06 or Thin spoke reproduction chrome wheels on ebay for around
$500 a pair. Or if you are the patient type used stuff shows up
on ebay all the time sometimes with DRs ready to roll.
