This really isn't a question about my 02 'vert for now, but the answer could help someone (like me) doing the same thing on their 'vette at another time.
I am rebuilding a '70 Triumph motorcycle and am having a hell of a time finding a good degreaser. For non painted parts, I've tried paint thinner Gunk degreaser, CLR, brake cleaner, etc. The CLR works the best but needs some improvement. For painted parts, I've tried the Gunk, brake cleaner, concentrated degreaser for the parts washer, and anything else lying around. Nothing does a good job.
I am at the point that I am polishing the grime off at the grinding wheel on the nuts, bolts, etc. and have no good alternative for the painted stuff. What do you guys use? Any miracle degreasers out there?
Thanks.
Engine cleaner from Griots garage is the best stuffs. It doesn't eat up your paint job and it will bring back the original oem shine. This stuff doesn't leave any film or oxidation at all. I hope this help you guys
