Default Tire Sensor Question

I went through all my tires and set them to 31lbs. each. The sensors are reading 26 29 29 29. The left rear won't seam to change. I adjusted that tire up to 38lbs, using a hand helg gauge, while watching the gauges in the car and it stayed on 26 in the car. Should it change without the car running? Might I need to reset all the sensors or do I have a bad one possibly?

From my experience with tire sensors they can be off by 1 or 2 pounds. I use a good digital pressure gauge and my sensors are all off by one pound. That one sensor you have that is off by 12 pounds could be bad. Twelve pounds is too much. The sensor readout will change while you are driving the car. They should go up by several pounds once the tires heat up.

The readout won't change without the car running.
The sensors only update once a minute when the car is in motion (+20mph)...and when stopped, only update once an hour to preserve battery life.

When you fill your tires, take it out for a short drive, and within a few miles, the pressure readings should update. Some might update immediately after resuming motion, some may not for a couple miles. It's by no means a real-time gauge replacement.
