Default Problem after LS6 intake install

I put on a LS6 intake and now my car won't idle. I made sure I have all of the connection correct but when I start it up it jumps to 2000 rpm and then it backs down and stalls if I don't keep my foot on the gas. Is there some sort of relearn process or have I done something wrong? HELP!

There is an idle relearn process
1 disconnect throttle postition sensor with car off
2 turn key to on and back off
3 Start car let idle for 5 minutes in drive
4 put in park let idle for 5 minutes
5 turn car off for 30 seconds then restart
This is the idle relearn process and has worked great for me after making changes.

Nope
I got my process out of service manual and it has worked flawlessly IF you follow the 5 minute directions- Be patient!

Make sure all your vaccum hoses are tight. Sounds like a leak. Idle should really be fine going from a LS1 to the LS6 intake.

Yeah something doesnt sound quite right. I just did mine 2 weeks ago and the tiny vacum hose in the back came out. It was just loud, my car still idled fine. Strange, check everything over a couple more time.

I have had one for years with no problems.

It doesn't sound like idle relearn, it's too great a variance.

Check for leaks, gasket issues, the little wires underneath the manifold issues, everything.

All the best.

Yes^
No relearn or tune should be required.

There is a very small vacuum hose that is located between the intake and the firewall. Make sure you have attached this which is a (PITA) or you will have an issue. Just a thought...

dave is calling this one right on... you have a vaccum leak and you need to find it.

It is amazing how much smoother it idles when you connect the hose back to the brake booster. It had gotten wedged down under the master cylinder and I didn't see it. I feel like such a dufus. Going to go get everything buttoned up now, I hope the local cats lick up my antifreeze before it stains the driveway Thanks you guys.
