which cam

00 a/4 adding a little more cam, 12.86 @ 108 mph stock. i'm not changing gears or stall just adding a better cam. cams of choice lpe gt2-3 or ls6 cam thanks for helping. 12.5's @ 111 mph my goal

Get the MTI Stealth 1 cam; youll never know its in there and it will make more power than those cams you mentioned.

I have the same car and am going with Comp Cam 224/224 .569/.569 @ 114 LSA
Also going to the 3.42 gear but no T/C (waste of gas)
Add a LS6 intake, roller sproket, and CC springs w/ Ti retainers. All used stuff, except springs. Cheap and adds lots of HP and torque.

You're making a big mistake not installing a high stall T/C with that cam. That is a decent sized cam that needs a good T/C to perform at it's best. You will also lose driveability, that cam will have a faster idle than the stock cam and you will probabily get the cruise control effect if you use a stock converter. As far as gas mileage goes, that will depend on how aggressively you drive your car.
